أطلقت شركة مايكروسوفت متصفحها الجديد IE9 الذي قالت إن سرعة برنامجه وأمانه سيغير نظرة المستخدم إلى الانترنت بكاملها ويحفز حتى على ابتكار "شبكة اجمل".

وأوضحت مايكروسوفت أن المفتاح إلى متصفح انترنت إكسبلورر الجديد هو استخدام مكونات الكومبيوتر لتسريع الأداء. ولتأكيد ما تقوله عقدت مقارنة عملية بين منتوجها ومتصفح كروم من غوغل. وأظهر الاختبار أن سرعة متصفحها تزيد خمسة أضعاف على كروم.

ويعمل المتصفح الجديد بصورة ديناميكية مع نظام التشغيل، وصمم خصيصًا للتوافق مع نظام ويندوز 7. ويعني هذا أن بإمكان المستخدم أن يثبِّت المواقع التي تظهر على شريط أسفل نظام التشغيل. وبدلاً من إطلاق المتصفح لفتح المواقع تكون المواقع متاحة مباشرة من الصفحة الرئيسة وتفتح تلقائيًا. ويستخدم المتصفح الجديد إطارًا واحدًا لعناوين الشبكة وتاريخ عمليات البحث.

Features Available:
· DOMException objects
· Thrown by various DOM APIs according to the W3C DOM specs and HTML5.
· “Constant” properties of the W3C DOM Standards
· DOM constructor objects and prototypes now include the “const” properties described in the W3C specs
· Updated DOM prototype hierarchy
· Changes align IE9 standards mode with W3C standards, and include the addition of the “Node” object (and others described in DOM L2 Core), as well as changes and revisions to Node-derived objects such as “Comment”.
· Note that the “HTMLDocument” constructor object has been removed as per the current HTML5 draft standard.
